Snapchat Launches AR Holiday Market

The sleigh bells are ringing all the way to Snap’s Holiday Market - the new e-commerce feature from Snap.

 

This year, as part of Snap’s new focus on AR-focused shopping, the company released the “Snap Holiday Market,” an online market that allows for immersive AR shopping experiences from Amazon, Coca-Cola, Hollister, Under Armor, Verizon, and Walmart. According to Snap, this market will allow users to “browse products and holiday deals in an AR space that’s unique to each brand”. Snap users can access the Holiday market via the Lens Carousel in the app. Here, they’ll be able to view product showcases, including interactive and Try-On features.

 

Over the years, we’ve seen Snapchat steadily developing its on-platform shopping options - for both physical and digital items. The platform is leading the AR race with its current advanced AR try-on tools and Lenses which allow users to try on fashion items and see what they look like.
